Parthi Kandavel Dear Neighbour,

My best wishes to you and your family. I trust you had an enjoyable summer. We were able to spend some time up north and cheer on our Canadian athletes at Rio this summer! This summer was an important time for me to reflect on the previous school year where we undertook some much needed and significant changes at the Board. In conjunction with our new Director of Education, John Malloy, we are embarking on the Learning Centres strategy to improve student achievement and parent connectivity, bringing greater transparency and accountability to the Trustee role. This is on top of introducing Whistleblower protection and appointing the Board’s first Integrity Commissioner.

As we start our new school year, I would like to wish my very best to all our children, students, and parents for a happy and successful year! It is indeed a true privilege to have the honour of serving you as your public school Trustee.
